Dear Francis:

I have selected Type Your Own because this will demonstrate what happens if I hit the Esc key on all menus [or nearly all] The Esc key is trapped and I get the ability to edit the menu if needed [usually not needed] in either the menu generator or in word processing. Also I can call my main menu or open the primary database in another window, etc.

This is where I type in the personal part of the letter. It sometimes is only a couple sentences, other times it goes on to several paragraphs. You're looking at a resized window for a locally defined memo field. As you can see I'm typing to myself. This part will appear after any boilerplate serving as the opening paragraph of the letter. A menu has been customized for this window, so please click HERE to bring up the menu.

And here is where I start a new html paragraph. Now to close the window with the menu Close command.

This will serve as the closing boilerplate ending which you can see in the final letter just above the closing and signature.

In Him Always,

Francis G. McCloskey

The Scripture Wall Website contains a menu option: NOTES FROM BEYOND. The author is Glenn, one of our dedicated life warriors who comes out onto the sidewalk several times per week to save souls and lives. We include one of his essays here.

Letters Composed By Satan Himself:

My Attack Upon The Mother

Dear Christian:

Many people in the pro-life movement believe that if only the mother knew what she was doing, she would not go through with the abortion. If only we could educate her about how the "tissue" is really alive, is growing, can feel pain, she would stop -  this would be murder.  "I know, let us educate her, give her reading materials. This will surely convince her."

No, no, let me spare you this trouble. You do not have to educate the mother. Rest assured the mother knows she is killing her baby.

Oh yes, by the time she goes in for the abortion, she has thoroughly convinced herself that she is not, that she is only going in for a medical procedure, that the baby is only a blob of tissue; but in the deep recesses of her heart, she knows she is destroying a life and a part of herself. But, you will see, by the time she visits the abortion facility she does not care. How have I helped to convince the mother not to care about her own baby - through a culture and circle of friends who do not care.

You see, all women, even those women with unintended pregnancies, instinctually want to love, nurture, and raise their baby. I must create just the right conditions to counteract this natural desire - all the key people must play their part, any one person proclaiming the truth and coming to the aid of the mother could result in the mother keeping her baby.

First, the general culture of death which I have created, and which has come to fruition these past years, does not care about the welfare of the baby (and by association, the pregnant mother). In fact, this culture gives everyone, including the mother herself, permission not to care about her own baby - through your values and attitudes expressed in your customs and laws - spread, perpetuated, and reflected in your media and popular culture.

And yet as evil as my culture of death is, it is not sufficient to convince the mother to not care. No, for that I also need the unwitting cooperation of the persons within her circle of influence at the time of the pregnancy - the father, her parents, her friends, her minister, her doctor. Most of these people, infected by my culture of death, already do not truly care about the baby's welfare and see only the disruption to their and the mother's lives and plans, the material and emotional costs, and the time involved. Where someone does care, it is usually quite easy to get this person to keep quiet - so as not to get anyone angry or upset, in other words to keep the "peace."  Or, I cause this potential benefactor, usually unsure of his or her self, to offer some half-hearted words of encouragement, with no offer of the truth of the matter, or the material, spiritual, or emotional care that the mother really needs. All of this to the point where the mother feels guilty for asking for the very care and love she and her baby need.

The mother, faced with a society which does not care, faced with ministers, doctors and friends who do not care, faced with her baby's own father, her parents, her siblings who do not care, is left feeling helpless, alone, and afraid.  She begins to lose hope about the baby's and her own future as her fears mount; fears, sometimes unfounded, that she will be abandoned by the baby's father and even her own parents and loved ones. Yes, the mother starts to not care about her baby too, if only to alleviate herself of the guilt, the shame, the loss of hope. The mother transfers some of the anger she now begins to feel, toward the baby, for having put her in this position. All of this can transpire in a matter of a few months, weeks, or even moments.

I then begin my final assault as the mother begins to consider having the baby removed  - a suggestion probably already made by many of the ones claiming to love her. The mother, having heard my lies her whole life, begins to adopt my lies, which are really just excuses to proceed. The mother makes a choice to have the "tissue" removed. The mother goes to the health care provider to have the simple medical procedure........   The mother has made the choice supported by her community.

Oh yes, my Christian friends, the mother knows.

Regards. . . . . . . . . . Satan

Glens Falls Scripture Wall

Glens Falls Update 9/14/2004
- Jeff Smith Reporting -
Today's Scripture Wall episode was highlighted by guest star appearances of Lucille and Mamie from Cambridge, the former pastor of the New Baptist Life Church in Hudson Falls - Pastor Paul Armstrong and his wife. Also on hand for the second straight week was our friend Michael, who plays his real life role as a traditional Catholic and who has decided to come out to the Wall of Infanticide to see if maybe, just maybe, he could be used as God's instrument to save but one of God's most precious of treasures, a wee little baby. And as for the regular stars, we have Bill, Larry, John, and the grand return of one of our most regular of regulars - Steve Solimento.

Needless to say Michael and Steve hit it off quite well, and it did not take them all too long to start up the old rosary. Most of the others joined in as well. My father, John, spent most of his time welcoming and speaking with the retired pastor. These two hit it off as well. As my father spoke to him for over an hour about all the reasons all Christians have the obligation to be out here, the adrenal juices really began to flow in the pastor. The pastor exclaimed that he will have 100 of his people out here to join us next Tuesday! He said it matter-of-factly but was a bit concerned about having enough signs for everybody.

Time will tell if the hundred, or even ten, or even he and his wife show again, but our God is a good God and he will take anyone whether they are willing or even sometimes unwilling. The Pastor spends his winters in Florida now and will be returning soon, but he said to count him in as a regular until he leaves. And he also said that as a result of his experience here he plans on making some waves when he returns to Florida.

It is amazing how from week to week God keeps this Scripture Wall standing. Just as we see with Pastor Paul, Michael, and all of us when we first came out to the devil's den - the abortuary, the war is unavoidably recognized. And it is at this point where the Christian must make the decision:
DO I RETREAT TO MY COMFORT ZONE OR DO I STAND UP AND FIGHT!?!?!?!?

"Consider this, you who forget God, lest I rend you and there be no one to rescue you."  -----psalm 49:22

Glens Falls Update 10/5/2004
- Jeff Smith Reporting -

Warren Street - On behalf of the regulars at the Glens Falls Scripture Wall I would like to extend a big thanks to Pastor Paul Armstrong and his wife for all their efforts in trying to increase our numbers for Christian witness here in front of the Glens Falls abortuary. Every extra person that joins us increases not only our strength against "principalities and powers" but it increases our overall credibility in the eyes of those passing by. When just two or three of us are out there one can easily write us off as a couple of kooks. But if forty of us are out there -- as was the case today -- people have to take a more serious notice.

I have attended many weekday masses throughout the years at St. Alphonse's Church in Glens Falls, and I would often think "Why don't these people join us?" Today many of them did. I hope they return. Having witnessed regularly here now for approximately six years, I have seen many of the same faces passing us by, offering supportive gestures by some, negative ones by others, and zero response by many more. On the many occasions I see these regular supporters pass us by, I often think "Why do these ones never stop to join us?" Some did today. I hope they return.

Today I also saw many new faces as well. In between keeping an eye on my one and four year old boys and praying the rosary with some of the others, I tried to mingle as much as I could in hopes of facilitating an awareness of the importance of their witness; perseverance in witness is for the cause of saving babies and swaying minds. I apologize for not remembering names but each person I met made a good and positive impression on me. I began the witness standing with my sign next to an other gentlemen I did not know. We shared at length all our feelings on the Pro-Life movement, politics, and a grab bag of other topics. My hope with him was merely to illustrate that us "activists" here are just like him, just like any average Christian. No, we are not shouting words of hate at our adversaries, nor are we violent extremists. We are just your average Christian that has come to realize that the baby in the womb is our brother and our sister, of whom we are their keepers. No, we don't have a more potent love for babies than the average Christian. No, just a sense of Christian responsibility to rise up against this most heinous of atrocities.

"Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? Or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?" -Psalm 94:16

I also had the opportunity to speak in length with a young lady in attendance here for the first time. She too had two young children with her. We shared insights into our cause as well as insights into parenting. As it turns out she regularly witnesses in front of the abortuary in Rutland Vermont. She said she hopes to return here quite often to lend her witness and prayers to ours here also, as much as she can. She feels there is no greater cause. She understands what's at stake and what we do is a last ditch lunge to save babies and souls.

"Save some by snatching them as from the very flames of hell itself. Jude 1:22-23

She seemed very much on the ball and our kids got along great as well.

It was a very nice day and everything went very well. I would also like to say thanks to Fr. McCloskey, who made a special effort in changing his plans to be with us. He brought with him his brother, Jim, and his nephew, Jay. Jim and Jay were two very interesting and impressive individuals. My Father and I had the opportunity to spend the day with them, and I must say, I have never seen Father so conversationally amiable.

My dear Brothers and Sisters in the LORD

Perhaps you missed out on the special blessings the Lord gave us last Tuesday in front of Planned Parenthood and now He has favored us with another get together this Tuesday.  I counted 43 Christians that came out to save the very next child that was to be sacrificed that day at the death camp.

There were two Pastors, one Priest and 40 others that decided that the emergency that day was being at the death camp physically and spiritually where God and Satan were contending for the next baby that was going to be killed.  We don't know of all the hearts that were touched that day and how many people that God allowed us to witness to!

I was especially touched by the young children that were there seeing the big guys standing up for the little guys!  One couple that were visiting from the Rochester area just so happened to be walking by us that day and decided to talk.  They ended up joining us and with tears in the eyes of the lady- she asked for prayer for the child she had lost.  I saw them later on and you could see a joy that was now present in their heart!

I saw one young Mom that told me she just happened to hear about the gathering on the radio and immediately came down with her two toddler twins to be there as Christ witness.  A Korean vet showed up even while he was experiencing tremendous back pain.  Several other miracles I am sure occurred--the fact remains that I have seen turn-arounds on many occasions---one lady awhile back brought me a milkshake and thanked me for saving her baby even though I didn't do anything to deserve this but just stand there and pray for God's intervention in this horrible murdering that was occurring 50 feet away! God gets all the glory and He wants us out there as a physical witness!  Please show up and pass this invitation off to all your friends.

 God Bless John

My Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord -

Approximately 4000 American babies killed today and everyday while 1000 or so soldiers have been killed in Iraq this year.

I believe Hitler would blush when presented with the number of killings going on by the Planned Parenthood organization alone! This country has made it legal just as Nazi Germany did to selectively kill. Our propensity to kill children has far exceeded the killing that was done in Nazi Germany. Who is going to stand up and attempt to save the next baby killed at Planned Parenthood? We, the Christian followers of Jesus Christ, are the only ones that can take on this battle - the businessmen, the policemen, the politicians, won't do it. We must! As I look around I wonder, where are you? Where are this Church and that Church? Do they think this is a ministry? Oh God no! It is the obligation of every Christian to hear God's written call: Proverbs 24:11 We are to rescue those who are unjustly led away to death.

The unborn baby is our brother. If we really believed this, would we not do something other than offering a prayer now and again or simply voting for a pro-life politician? If this truly were your little brother being led to slaughter, would you go out to plead your case or stay in so to be certain you did not miss your favorite TV show? Exodus 14:15 God said to Moses "why are you crying out to me"- its time to get going! By our silence we are surrendering our will to Satan. This silence results in us ignoring our own sins of omission indefinitely and therefore we avoid repentance.

Please help us bring the church of Jesus Christ out to the streets. Don't use the excuse that it is not your ministry! Don't fall back on this job by saying that we need more education. In the rebuilding of the wall in the book of Nehemiah, all put aside their particular jobs for the more important issue. There is no right based more on fundamentals than the right to be born and reared with all the dignity the human person deserves. There are many injustices, which must be addressed, but the unjust killing of the innocent is foremost among all of them. Without life you cannot have any other human values.

Have our values been so eroded to the point where we can accept governments decree that we are not unique creatures endowed by our Creator? Surely, we are not just slabs of meat subject to the butchering whims of unelected judges and of women who have been herded like cattle to the slaughter - making them co-victims with the baby they have chosen to kill! Psalm 139:13-16 says we are special that He knitted us together in our Mothers womb.

Deuteronomy 30:15 makes it clear that God beckons us to return to him, if we refuse his mercy he abandons us to become lovers of death by choice. Come join us in front of Planned Parenthood on Warren Street in Glens Falls, NY on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 between 11AM to 1 PM.

If you just show up in front of the abortion mill and do nothing but stand - you are still rebuking this horrible sin and standing in the army of Jesus Christ--- Please - men, women, and children, please come! PLEASE COME!

People of Faith in Jesus Christ Marching for Life Tuesday, October 12, 2004 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. If you believe with God's Word that every abortion kills a CHILD Then meet us in front of Planned Parenthood on Warren Street in Glens Falls, NY on the above date and let the world know that we, PEOPLE OF FAITH, believe that the life of every child is precious. This will be a peaceful and prayerful march to inform the North Country people that PEOPLE OF FAITH believe abortion is murder. Please stand with us for the unborn, so our children and grandchildren will not have to grow up in a Nation that kills babies.

On the scene:

-----> Paul Armstrong and his wife Alice; Bill; Michael; John; Jeff; Mal; and Sheila.

-----> A young man approached and sought to argue. He first engaged John. It did not take too long to determine he was not worth the time. He was very disrespectful and would not allow us to respond. He would keep saying things like "Bush is murdering children in Iraq!" John ignored him so he then approached Paul. Paul tried to evangelize the Word of God to Him but again the young man was close-minded and crude. Paul rebuked him and sent him away.

-----> Michael, then gave it a shot with him, but to no avail. A little while later the police showed up. They claimed, as reported by the Planned Butcherhood, that one of us urinated on their building. We then realized it was that young man that did it and informed the officer. Nothing came of it.

-----> We presented a new sign today and boy did it ever create a stir. Paul had it and was right out in the street waving at people.

Kerry supports the murder of babies!

-----> A Planned Parenthood worker was leaving and John asked if she would read something he had. She yelled at him and as she drove off began to sing aloud, "Bush has only 10 more days left..." Paul ran up to her car as she was driving off and threw some literature in her window. Apparently her boyfriend was driving behind her. He stopped to threaten Paul at that point.

----->
Michael and myself were the last to leave as we finished up the rosary. We held no signs, but the reactions kept coming.

Nonagenarian Abortion Protester Maintains Lonely Vigil

BY TOM HALLMAN JR.
c.2004 Newhouse News Service

PORTLAND, Ore. -- When he slips from bed long before sunrise, Marion Hite's body reminds him of his long journey: bad ticker, teary eyes and ears that, despite hearing aids so sensitive they occasionally squeal, don't hear so well. He's nearly 99 and doesn't expect to see 100. Yet this old-timer considers himself a warrior whose only goal for 25 years has been to march -- well, walk slowly -- into the enemy's stronghold.

He has no use for the exercise class or the coffee-and-conversation sessions held at the senior-citizens complex where he rents a studio apartment. What gets him up long before anyone else in the building is the fight. He skips breakfast, getting sustenance from a prayer asking for the strength he needs to wage a solitary battle played out each day -- rain or snow, heat or cold -- on a Portland street corner.

After dressing, Hite sits at a table cluttered with a Bible, prayer books, religious tracts and several disaster prophecies warning of demons, fire falling from the sky and lost souls condemned to eternal flames. To his right, next to a paper outlining Satan's latest plans in easy-to-read type, are two large sacks of bite-size candy bars that Hite will snack on when he returns home.

There's nothing in his apartment to distract him from doing what he calls "God's work." A cross and images of Jesus, the Virgin Mary and the pope hang on the walls. A shelf holds several religious statues, including one of a saint whose name he no longer remembers. "At my age, you tend to forget," he says. "Let me tell you, it isn't all sugar and honey."

He clutches a battered prayer book and leaves his apartment at 5:45 a.m. He waits outside for a friend who drives him to his post in front of the Lovejoy Surgicenter.

Hite protests against abortions carried out inside the nondescript building. In years past, protesters filled the street, and Surgicenter employees often called police. Hite has been convicted of criminal trespass and cited for contempt, and he says he once spent a month in jail.

Kayla, the Surgicenter director, doesn't want to give her full name because, she says, protesters have been known to show up at employees' homes. She remembers the protests in front of the center as mean-spirited, with Hite joining others as they shouted names and accusations at arriving women.

"It was very loud and violent protesting," Kayla says. "The protests were sweeping the country, and in Portland this group showed up and made it hard for the women to come inside. They'd block the door and use bullhorns. They shouted at the women. The noise level was so loud that it violated city codes. It was a form of intimidation."

Over time, the number of protesters dwindled.

"We used to have 30 people out there," Kayla says.

Now there's only one.

The streets are dark and empty when Hite hoists himself out of the car up the hill from the Surgicenter. He collects his tools from a home on the same block. Then he slowly makes his way down the hill. He looks like a man trying to beat the crowd for a good spot at the parade. He carries a lawn chair in his right hand and a large sign in his left.

Although the Surgicenter doesn't open until 8 a.m., Hite believes if lights are on, they could be doing something. So he insists on being in place before 6:30 a.m.

Hite comes prepared for all kinds of weather. He wears blue pants, white tennis shoes, a baseball-style cap and a blue windbreaker. He has a second jacket in case it gets cold, and a blue-and-white umbrella he can use to ward off the rain or the sun.

He settles into the chair and hoists the sign on his shoulder. He slips the butt of the wooden pole into a black baby shoe that rests next to his thigh. He adjusts the sign, which has the same message on both sides so people approaching the center from either direction can read it: "Please let your baby live. We will help you; give him or her to us." Below is an 800 number for an adoption service.

Kayla, the Surgicenter director, points out that the center also offers adoption services.

When the sun rises, Hite reads his 79-page prayer book. As he does every morning, he starts at the beginning. After turning a few well-worn pages, he sets the book in his lap and stares at the Surgicenter's front door. The door is locked, the lobby dark, and two newspapers sit out front.

"There used to be all kinds of trouble out here," he says. "The police always treated me good enough, and I didn't mind jail. I know those people in there'd like to get rid of me. But I'm part of the game."

Hite, a retired trucker who never married and has no children, doesn't remember who first brought him to this corner, doesn't even remember what made him raise his voice that first day.

"My memory's real bad," he admits. "When you get to be 98, see if you can remember."

He knows, however, why he stays.

"They're killing babies," he says. "The Lord said what we do to the least of his brethren we do to him. Those babies are human beings created by God, and one of the commandments is that we should not kill. And we are killing those babies."

Hite believes that over the years he's made a difference, but he can point to only one instance for sure. He says a woman came up to him one day and said she'd decided to continue her pregnancy after approaching the center and seeing his sign. She told Hite that, as a result, she had a 9-year-old daughter.

Hite checks his watch. The Surgicenter opens soon.

He sees a woman in blue scrubs walking up the street toward the front door. She glances at Hite but says nothing. "They've talked to me over the years," he says. "I've told them I wouldn't work in there for a million dollars."

Ten minutes later, a woman and a man hurry by Hite and walk into the Surgicenter without a glance at him. He checks his watch and settles back in his lawn chair.

"Don't know how much longer I'll be doing this," he says. "Don't think I've too much more time to go. Guess I'll quit when my heart stops."

The proper response to the nonagenarian is for us to spend less time at the keyboard and more time on the sidewalk in front of the local mill. I'm outta here at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow.  It's Thursday. That means Schenectady's grisly PP, the head of the octopus.

Today at the Hudson PP we had a woman drive by, see us, park her car, and ask if she could join us.  She was a Baptist who had just come under conviction.  We took her to breakfast afterwards at Bob's Diner. She intends to return and wants to bring her Christian girl friend.  She said she had just attended the Joyce Meyer women's evangelical rally at the Pepsi Arena in Albany and that thousands of women came forward to the altar call..  She said that Joyce said "well everyone else has come out of the closet so why can't we Christians come out of our closets".

So this was a kind of first fruits of that rally.  Now seeing as the Hudson PP is only a satellite abortuary of the Albany Lark St. PP and the latter is only a short walk from the Pepsi Arena,  Joyce would have gained addtional credibility with me if instead of just exhorting the women to forsake their closets, she instead proclaimed "Well, let's all walk out of our closets this very minute. Fall in behind me, I'm heading for the abortuary up on Lark St. just ten minutes from here on foot.  Let's show them at PP what Christians look like when the forsake their closets."

We all agreed that was one of the weaknesses in the church of arenas and rallies.  Too much Talk, not enough Walk.

When my brother Jim and his son Jay and I arrived from a two week family tour which took us as far as North Bay Ontario and York Beach, Maine, Audrey and Ron were praying together. Ron was on his knees.

There were variously one to three deathscorts protecting the clients from the "Religious Right" [they prefer the Religious Wrong]. We sang and proclaimed God's word with gusto, trusting the Lord to use our worship for His glory and the saving of lives and souls.  Soon Lance arrived, after an absence of years but he had just got over a bad case of pneumonia wherein, sure enough, the Lord got his attention once again. Also on hand was Frank and Joan in their new car {one can hear the ooohs and aaaahs for these two stalwarts for Life who have survived on jalopies for years. Their children bought it for them.}.  Another surprise was Dana stopping for prayer on his way to work.

As we went off to breakfast with our first-timer guest, Bob and Kathy were arriving together with Nicky. Principalities and Powers of Darkness hear the word of God and be subject unto it.

May God truly have mercy on those at Planned Parenthood and all of us -- our Church, our Nation.  Peace and Blessing. Carol

Hudson Update

- Pastor Stan Webster Reporting -
The church was present today on the street, as well as yesterday in Hudson. There was Ron, Audrey, Father Francis, Pastor Stan, and Colleen [a new member of the Wall who has been on the street three times now! She is from Copake. Colleen has a new job, but she has spoken to her pastor and others in her church and a lady from her church is to be coming out soon. We need to pray the Lord gets Colleen a new car. She uses her mom's car to join us on the street. Amen!]

Bob, Kathy, Ann, Dennis, Frank and Joe come for the Rosery at 10:00 a.m.  Later they were joined by Nicky.

It's all about Christ and His church being there for "the next mother and her baby."  The evil one and his lying schemes are there.  We know they are using the RU-486 pill now in Hudson, but we know that Christ, His mercy, grace, and truth are greater than the evil one's lies.

Audrey told us today about a mother who came up to the Wall in Poughkeepsie yesterday and was irate. "Your picture [Malachi] has made my daughter cry and shake uncontrollably!" Audrey responds, "Yes, I agree that what happened to that baby was horrible and unthinkable!" The mother responds,  "Well, take those pictures away!"  Audrey says, "We can't because that's what they are doing to the other babies in that place [pointing to Noxon St. Planned Parenthood]."  The mother looks at Audrey and says "I'm going in there and tell them [planned parenthood] and they will make you take those pictures down!"  Later the mother comes out with a smirk on her face and says to Audrey, "Now you're going to have to remove those pictures!" and she walks away.  Audrey thinks to herself, "Not!"

What's wrong with that picture?!  Here is a mother concerned about the horror experienced by her daughter who has witnessed the horror of murder, death, lies, selfishness, evil...the fruit of the pits of hell!  But who is the mother angry with...is she angry with hell's "instrument," the one who choreographed the the horror or [unbelieveably] is she angry with the "rescuer" of the next unborn baby from becoming another "image" of slaughter?  How dark is the darkness in the souls of the lost?  This mother is angry with the "One" who has come to save the babies and heal her daughter from this unthinkable horror.

Praise God, the Son of Righteousness is Risen and the Light of His Truth penetrates the darkness of our souls!  There was another father and mother who believed the lie and came to the "stronghold of death". This mother spoke to Dee in Alight Center today.  Alight is the PregCare Center next door to PP.  She toldy Dee she and her husband were going to kill their baby by abortion... but...they saw the church on the streets.  They saw the church in prayer.  Christ in the presence of His people on the streets and their prayers turned their hearts away from death to life, away from the instruments of death to loving arms and open hearts for their baby girl!  Amen!  Cynthia now wants to help at Alight and join the pray-ers on the street.

We do pray for both mothers and their daughters.  We pray that the one mother will identify who the "real" enemy that horrified her daughter truly is, not Jesus and His church, but Satan and his lies.

We thank God for His gracious mercy and love that was received  in His precious gift of life, a baby girl, who is not a graphic image of Satan's scheme, but is alive and loved!  Lord, may this be so named among us...always...alive and loved!

Poughkeepsie Update 10/12/2004
- Rich Van Slambrouck Reporting -
We had special help today. Maureen is in Fatima praying for the unborn and us! She is on a trip to Europe and promised to pray today because she would be in Fatima the same time we would be at the killing center in Poughkeepsie. Audrey arrived as Jerry passed by to take up his Face the Truth position at the end of Noxon Street. Several times we have had cars stop and question us why that “person” was displaying that horrible sign at the end of the street. They would even say that they supported us but did not think that horrible sign should be displayed.

After explaining how the news media hides the gruesome facts about abortion and how it kills a live human being, most of the complainers drive off shaking their heads. I hope people continue to find it gruesome and horrible for if they don’t then we have really become a callous people. Arnie and Patrick arrived. And praise God, Patricia arrived after many days in bed after a bad fall at the killing center. She is still recovering but continues to show her tenacity and perseverance in trying to save that next baby! Patrick was also just returning from a two week vacation to rejoin the fight for life!

As Arnie, Patricia and myself began the morning prayers, I noticed the clientele seemed to be of Hispanic and/or Black decent. Planned Parenthood is very clever in arranging like people on different days to make them feel “comfortable” when handing over their babies to them to be killed –another really gruesome picture/method. As we continued to pray, I noticed that Pat and Audrey were very effective in handing out materials to those entering the gates of Calvary. I think the prayers of Maureen were having a very positive impact.

After we finished the morning prayers, Fr. Francis arrived. Ed arrived almost immediately afterwards. Dana also stopped by on his way to work to pray for the unborn. Father related some very interesting facts about his journey where he had been with his brother and nephew. He described some coincidents but we concluded that there are not any events that the Lord hasn’t had a hand in. It was a sad morning though as the tall deathscort voiced very strong objections to Pat and tried to stop him from handing out materials to those entering and leaving the death camp. During the closing prayer Father always includes prayers for those involved in abortion and I remembered the deathscort for a conversion of his heart.

We left for Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes followed by lunch at the Acropolis Diner. Yum!

Poughkeepsie Update 10/19/2004
- Rich Van Slambrouck Reporting -
In an unusual occurrence for Tuesdays no deathscorts were anywhere to be seen today.  Maybe it was because it was a very rainy morning and the dampness was so penetrating that it made us feel like it was winter.  Even though both Audrey and I were dressed warmly, the dampness got through.  Keith and Arnie joined Patrick for morning prayer. It was a very busy morning.  About 7 couples drove in and one couple walked in.

Of the seven couples who drove in 3 came out within 15 minutes, leading us to believe they may have turned around, deciding not to kill their child. The walk-in couple also didn't stay long.  Most couples drove cars with license plates from out of state. Since we have many colleges nearby, we believe that they were probably college students.  Our youth are being brainwashed at these colleges.  We are truly in need of revival.  Bring on “Oh Saratoga III”!

George and Ed arrived and we did scripture wall on the sidewalk nearest the death camp.  A note of needed prayer: Dolores fell and fractured her femur and was in the hospital for several days.  She will be on the mend for at least two months. We will miss her and Don at the wall.  Pray for her healing as she was scheduled for a knee operation on the leg she broke. The attacks are many but God is in control!

Even though I walk-in the dark valley I fear no evil; for you are at my side with your rod and your staff that give me courage. (23rd Psalm)

Cooperstown Scripture Wall

Cooperstown
Update

11/6/2004

Arline Saiki
Reporting
When we arrived we found the Schenectady group waiting for us. Thank God they got the time wrong. Fr. Francis miscalculated the time the Scripture Wall begins as 9:00 a.m. instead of 10:00 a.m. Usually they are a bit late arriving but today they were super-early. The weather was sunny and moderate with a light breeze. This too is a special blessing as in the past we could count on the coldest imaginable weather when we knew the Schenectady Lifers were coming.

We quickly set up in front of the Hospital [due to the layout of the hospital with the parking lot across the narrow L shaped street, out-of-towners sometimes get the impression we are standing on hospital property but it is the public sidewalk]. And so visitors to the hospital were greeted with a large banner quoting Psalm 22 --

FROM MY MOTHER'S WOMB YOU ARE MY GOD

Most of our Cooperstown regulars showed up - Darlene, Karen, Jim, Dave, Betty, Jean, Louis, Martha, Thomas and Arline and we were joined by THE Schenectady Scripture Wall of Fr. Francis, Jim and three of his dynamic offspring - Katie, Matthew and Elizabeth - Paul, Hanna, Harold, Patricia, and Joe for a good gathering of about 25 people.

Afterwards, some of us went out to pizza, where a lady  insisted on taking Father's picture together with all at his table. (Unless she gets a release, publication of any such photo would have legal implications.)

Jim from Cobleskill said he would join us on First Saturdays.  Father Francis offered to say Mass for us on the days he comes and we were assigned to find a place for Mass and a brunch gathering after Scripture Wall.

Schenectady Scripture Wall plans to join Cooperstown again, next April.

Arline Saiki
Fr. Francis reports -- The remains of James Fenimore Cooper are buried 100 yards from the Scripture Wall prayer location... in the churchyard of the local Episcopal Church. This is one of the most beautiful 19th century churches in New York State, so perfectly preserved in its wood and marble, its crucifixes, baptismal font and altar looking oh so Catholic. One must pass under the Jesuit motto to even enter the premises, and in Latin to boot: Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam -- For the Greater Glory of God. In front of the church and behind us as we pray is the very modest start of the Susquehanna River. Just like God in nature, things begin small and become large by perseverance. Ask anyone in Pennsylvania or Maryland.

Bridgeport Update 9/14/2004
- Marilyn Carroll Reporting -
Over 25 prolifers came out to the streets to pray and intercede for little boys and little girls that were sentenced to die at 3787 Main Street. Officer Mendalfo was present from the Bridgeport Police. Pastor Miller represented the Bridgeport clergy. A medical waste truck came. We live in a sick world where parents pay money to "doctors" to kill their children and human baby parts are called "medical waste."

From what we saw:

ELEVEN CAME TO ABORT.
TWO CHANGED THEIR MINDS.
THREE TURNED AWAY.
SIX BABIES WERE LEFT TO DIE.

God has given us tremendous opportunities to share the Gospel on the streets of our community. This great principle of purpose was given to us by our Lord. The second important principle we uphold is to stand for the dignity of every human life. God is the creator of all life and Jesus said
"I am come that they may have life..."
We believe in a temporal life and an eternal life that God has given us. When we help a pregnant mom to choose life for her child and support her into parenting or adoption, we are demonstrating the love of God. Our friendships allow us to share the Gospel by our actions and our words. Being prolife isn't merely standing out at the abortion clinic. That is just the beginning, there is much more to be done. Please help. We need to work together and help in this major endeavor.  Tuesday and Friday mornings are the killing days.

We are having a baby shower on Sunday, Sept. 19th,  for a mom, Jasmine, who is 19 years old, has a boy one years old and a girl two years old. She is expecting twins (a boy and a girl). When Carmen and I went to see her in the hospital she was in tears. She was having some health problems, she had nobody to help her. She needed a babysitter, I told her I would go get her son. She said that she needed everything for her babies, that nobody was giving her a shower. I told her we would give her a shower. She said she put two cribs on layaway at Walmart's, I told her to give me the receipt and we would get the cribs for her. Yesterday I got her a twin stroller at the consignment shop, and two new crib mattresses. I got her some layette items at TJ Maxx. Cori wrapped the gifts we had so far. One prolifer gave me some cash to put in a card for her. Another gave towards the shower. I hope and pray we can make this a memorable event for Jasmine. A few prolifers are making food. Lucy and her sister are getting the cake. Someone needs to give her a ride here. We all need to work together to make this happen. Please pray for a good weather day.

Wednesday, September 22 we would like to continue our "God is Going Back to School" Campaign if we can get enough people to go to the high school. We need to cover the front and back entrance. We need people to hold signs and pass out literature. Human beings are more impressed by what they see than by what they hear. We can reach more kids on the sidewalks than speaking in a classroom. Please reply to me and let me know if you are coming. I want to call the police and let them know the day before. This is our protected Constitutional right of freedom of speech. Just know by doing this you are saving lives and souls for our Lord. We are the body of Christ. We are His hands, His feet, His mouthpiece. What are you doing 7am in the morning that is preventing you from coming? We need your help!

"For you have been called to live in freedom -- not freedom to satisfy your sinful nature, but freedom to serve one another in love. ...Love your neighbor as yourself!" (from Galatians 5)

Please lay down your comfort of staying in a nice comfortable house and come out to the school where students are hungry for truth. Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit to be our Comforter because He knew we would be "uncomfortable" when we did what He asked us to do. We have been able to give out thousands of pieces of literature and cases of Bibles in a half hour to 45 minute time span. It is better if we reach these kids now before they come to the clinic.

Please consider the potential for good in reaching these young impressionable students. A percentage of students reading these packets are already pregnant or engaged in premarital sex. They need to know the truth about abortion and sexually transmitted diseases. If they receive this literature hopefully it will prevent them from ruining their lives and draw them to the saving knowledge of the Gospel. Many students have said they could never have an abortion after seeing the pictures and reading the literature. Many bring the material home for their parents and siblings to read. You never know how far and wide God's word will travel through these brochures and Bibles. Remember that our main objective is to educate the teens. Avoid all arguments, controversy and publicity, if at all possible. Remember the truth has always been unpopular. Sometimes an adult parent or teacher will give us a hard time. Reply to them in love and focus on your purpose there.

I recently read in a newsletter that the reason Planned Parenthood starting selling T-shirts that say "I Had An Abortion" is to counter the "Silent No More" T-shirts that say "I Regret My Abortion." It is sad to think that any woman would find the death of another human being something to advertise and be proud of. Planned Parenthood goes into our schools and promotes premarital sex through condom distribution, birth control pills and abortion referrals.

"Be our strength each day and our salvation in times of trouble. The enemy runs at the sound of your voice. ... The fear of the Lord is the key to this treasure. ... For the Lord is our judge, our lawgiver, and our king. He will care for us and save us. " (from Isaiah 33)
We need some men with trucks to deliver baby equipment to needy mothers. Wendy needs a babysitter and help organizing and keeping an inventory list of our supply room. We despartely need Spanish speakers on the street. Carmen has a job and leaves early for work. Let me know if you can do any of these tasks. We are grateful for each one of you.

Bridgeport Update 9/17/2004
- Marilyn Carroll Reporting -
About 30 prolifers came out today to try to save lives and souls. Fr deMayo was there to represent the clergy and Officer Mandolfo was present from the Bridgeport Police. Minor girls are a regular part of the clientel on Main Street. It is reported at times and the police warn the mill to report it to DCF. Sexual activity with a youth under 17 is illegal for an adult 18 or over. Any suspicions should be investigated for satutory rape or child abuse.

From what we saw:
ELEVEN CAME TO ABORT.
ONE TURNED AWAY.
TEN BABIES WERE LEFT TO DIE.

We did get to talk to a lot of clients but did not stay much passed 9:30 a.m. We had to go deliver some baby equipment to needy moms and babies. One woman locked her keys in her car and I believe God used this situation as an opportunity to speak the truth to her about abortion. We were able to give out lots of literature to moms and dads going into the center.

I NEED TO KNOW WHO IS GOING TO THE HIGH SCHOOL ON WEDNESDAY. PLEASE EMAIL ME BACK AND LET ME KNOW. THANK YOU. We will meet in the front of Stratford High at 7:00 a.m. sharp. We will need just two people (one with a sign and one with literature) to go in the back. The address of the school is 45 North Parade, Stratford, CT 06615. If you need directions go to mapquest.com or go to the Stratford High School web page. We will be passing out gospel literature on abortion, fetal development, abstinance, STD's, and salvation. We need all the help we can get. We have to be ready to reach hundreds and sometimes over a thousand students in a short time span. If we reach them now, it may prevent a future abortion.

"May peace and blessing be yours from God the Fatherand from the Lord Jesus Christ. He died for our sins just as God our Father planned and rescued us from this evil world in which we live. All glory to God through all the ages of eternity." Galatians 1:3,4

Bridgeport Update 10/8/2004
- Marilyn Carroll Reporting -
About 20 lifesavers came out Friday. O'Ravitz was on duty for the Bridgeport Police. Mike was in the lot early and AJ came later. Four college students from Wesleyan were there to escort moms into the death camp to kill their children. How sad. Please pray that the Lord opens the eyes of these kids to see the truth of what they are really involved in. I had the opportunity to pray with this young mom, her friend went in crying. I hope they came out after we left. We need people to be at the mill Fri. 9:30- 11:30 a.m.

EIGHT MOMS WENT IN AT KILLING TIME.
(I did not see any leave by 9:30am, they could have left afterwards)
EIGHT BABIES WERE LEFT TO DIE.

A business woman from across the street was very upset that a masseuse parlor is moving in. She wanted to know what she could do to stop prostitution from moving into her neighborhood. She said the man that owns the building, owns lots of property around there and has lots of influence in the city. Please pray about this. Sin and corruption is multiplying around us.

One of the moms that changed her mind (Shana) found out her twins are a girl and a boy. So now we have two moms having a girl and boy twins. Jasmin is due anytime and Shana is due the end of Dec. We will have a shower for her in November.

Flip Benham is coming Oct. 21-24. We will be at the mill one day and at a hospital the next. Let me know if you want to participate in these street activities Oct. 22, 23. Also we are continuing our GOD IS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL the last week of October. Let me know if you can come and hold a sign. All the ground work has been done, we just need prayer and people to show up. If you never show up at the battle, you will never experience the victory!

As Christians we need to be constantly reminded that life is not about us, its all about Jesus. There are people plunging into Hell all around us that need to hear the truth of the Gospel. We are called to be dead to the world and committed to the Lord. 99% of the battle is to be availiable for the Lord's use. We are His body, His hands, His feet, His mouthpiece. Unbelievers should see Jesus in us, the hope of glory.

Being a Christian is not just about going to church on Sunday. People wear the name but don't want to be incovenienced. Didn't Jesus say TAKE UP OUR CROSS AND FOLLOW ME? A true disciple takes up the cross of Christ out of love for his savior. We want to please God and win souls. There are times when we must do things that are tiring, costly and rough on the flesh, but great are your eternal rewards.

If Christians were not out on the streets, think of all the babies that would be dead and all souls on their way to hell. Just in our small sphere of ministry 1309 lives have been saved and 353 confessions of faith. The Lord allowed us to be His ministers and see souls won and miracles happen. We need to be willing to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and follow the leading of the Lord.l

Everything doesn't go just the way we want it. God's ways are not our ways and obedience to His will is what gets the job done. In ourselves, we can do nothing. But with Him, all things are possible. Many fail to live for Christ because they don't want to give up the world. But what is the cost of not being a Christian? Some day all the luxuries will be gone and we will stand at the Judgement Seat of Christ. A just and holy God will judge our record of what we have done on the Earth. Suddenly the things you thought were important lose their value. Discipleship costs you persecution and people separating from you, but you are promised wealth untold at the end of this life. Hope to see you all on Tuesday and Friday, as we reach out to the lost and needy who find themselves where they should not be.

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him." Corinthians 2:9

Bridgeport Update 10/15/2004
- Marilyn Carroll Reporting
Over 20 prolifers came out between 7am-9:30am to pray for the tiny babies that were sentenced to die. We pleaded with moms and dads not to kill their children and let us offer them other options. Officer Manny was there for the Bridgeport Police and Mike and AJ were in the lot for the mill. From what we saw:

Fourteen women went in at killing time.
One young girl with her mom changed her mind.
Thirteen babies were left to die.

The killing will never stop in America until the Church of Jesus Christ decides it wants it to stop. Jesus said the "gates of Hell" cannot prevail against His Church!

Don't wait for the President, the Republican Party, Congress or the Supreme Court to end abortion, it's up to us. Are you doing everything in your power to prevent babies from being killed? Or have you become comfortable with the fact that abortion is legal and we just have to live with it. If you are thinking that way, like most of the Church probably is, then the killing will never stop.

We all have to examine ourselves before God and ask Him to show us. Father, what is it that I can do to stop the killing of innocent babies in my community and in my nation? The Lord tells us in 1 Timothy 4:10  "We work hard and suffer much in order that people will believe the truth."

Stratford Ct Update

10/22/2004

Marilyn Carroll Reporting -
"But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about me with great effect ..." Acts 1:8

About 20 saints came out to the streets to proclaim the Gospel and the truth about abortion at Bunnell High School in Stratford, CT. Everything went decently and in order. Fr deMayo and Rev. Flip Benham were there to represent the clergy. Four to five police cars were on the scene to observe and keep everything orderly. There were no problems and the police did a good job. A few staff came out but kept their distance. Government officials should not inhibit our ability to give out material to the students or interfere with the students rights to receive the information on public property.

We are more impressed by what we see than by what we hear. Hundreds, maybe thousands of cars went by our sign displays starring at the pictures of aborted babies and live babies at different stages of development. We split into two groups to cover the front and back of the school. A young lady came out and spoke to some of the prolifers and Fr deMayo. She was distraught with tears about her sister who had an abortion. Fr deMayo and others had the opportunity to minister to her.

When the schoolbuses stopped in traffic students were reaching out the windows for literature and Bibles. Cars with parents and students stopped for info. In the rear entrance we were able to hand out hundreds of pieces of literature and "Passion" Bibles directly to students. It was also a good opportunity in the back because students that came out to smoke took the information. One Mom asked if this display was for "kids," I told her yes, because the same "kids" are going into the abortion mill for abortions. Another prolife lady driving by ask Savannah if it was effective to show the pictures. She told them it has been very effective. One fireman in the corner firehouse opened his window and yelled out "Bush-Cheney" for pro-life.

"We are reaching more kids in one month by going out to the sidewalks than we did in five years of speaking in dignified, comfortable, classrooms." (Marian Banducci)

The young girls that come to the abortion mill are already pregnant. We are trying to reach them before they get pregnant.

Please join us tomorrow morning (Saturday Oct. 23) at Milford Hospital, 9:30 am and Tuesday morning at Summit Abortuary in Bridgeport, 7:30 am as we proclaim the gospel of life on the highways and biways of our cities. All for the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. For the Least of These, Marilyn Carroll

We are blessed to have Miss Savannah here with us from St. Louis. Kelly and Savannah held a banner on the main thoroughfare near the school and were a witness to their peers. PTL! We need more kids like this that are bold and courageous for their King (Jesus).

Bridgeport Update

- Marilyn Carroll Reporting -
About 20 prolifers came out early today but by 8:30am most were gone. I was the only sidewalk counselor after 8:20am when Carmen had to leave and go to work. We really need women to commit to coming out on Tuesday and Friday to help counsel. We also need Spanish speakers. Today I was trying to counsel, hand out literature, video and do the sidewalk diary sheet, all at the same time. I am asking for some people that will commit to stay at the clinic and help. Most come, pray and leave quickly. There has to be some that can stay. We all have other things that we would rather be doing, but our Lord has given this post to us. He has commanded us to rescue the innocent from slaughter. He has commanded us to tear down the high places. We have been doing this too long to give up now. The abortion industry is on its last leg. Abortion will end when the Church wants it to end. The gates of hell cannot prevail against His Church.

"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Galatians 6:9

There were five "deathscorts" today helping women into the killing center to kill their babies. They try to prevent them from talking to us ... they are really not "pro-choice" because they never offer the moms another choice besides abortion. The Bridgeport police were on duty (Guilliano, Pirrelli, Cpt.)  Mike and AJ made an appearance for the mill as lot attendants. Because the killing center was closed last Friday the count was higher today. From what we saw:

NINETEEN MOMS CAME AT KILLING TIME.
FOUR TURNED AWAY.
FIFTEEN PRECIOUS BABIES WERE LEFT TO DIE

One of the women I spoke to brought her daughter there. I did not see the girl so I don't know how young she was, but the mom said she was too young to have a baby, so it was sentenced to death. I pleaded with her to no avail. She knew it was her grandchild but did not care. I really have a hard time with this. Having two grandchildren myself, it is beyond my comprehension, how grandparents can be so insensitive to their own grandchildren. We have strayed so far from God in America that there is no longer a moral compass of right and wrong. Our consciences are seared.

After we left the death camp today we went to see Jasmin and her new twins. This is what is being killed here. Please soften your hearts and come out to help. We cannot do this alone. If you cannot stay the whole time, please stay as long as possible. We need people out here to pray and plead for the lives of innocent children.
  <>
We have helped this mom with her every need so she was able to keep her babies. If no one was out in front of the mill pleading with her, these precious gifts from God would have been ripped limb by limb to death. What more do you need to see to realize how important it is for Christians to be at abortion clinics? If Jesus was walking the earth in the flesh, where do you think he would be? We are his Body. We are supposed to represent him to the lost and dying. These people find themselves in a place where they should not be. They do not have Godly counsel. They need our help. Please get on your knees before God and ask him what you can do -- to stop the slaughter of unborn children in your community.

"Rescue those who are unjustly sentenced to death; don't stand back and let them die. Don't try to disclaim responsibility by saying you didn't know about it. For God, who knows all hearts, knows yours, and he knows you knew! And he will reward everyone according to his deeds." Proverbs 24:11

Bridgeport Update

10/29/2004

- Marilyn Carroll Reporting -
Twenty-one lifesavers came out to the streets to pray for the lives of the innocent children that were brought to slaughter by their own mothers. The police (Officer Manny) and the lot attendant (Mike) were on the scene of the crimes. There were five deathscorts. Sally was there at a ripe old age of 82, my Mom at 79 and Daniel, 3 years old now,all trying to save lives. No matter your age or origin, God can use you. Ninety-nine percent of the battle is to just show up, and then let God do the rest. He will use you in a mighty way if you make yourself available. Please pray for our rosary friend Joe, who had surgery this week. From what we saw:

  FOURTEEN MOMS CAME TO KILL.
          FOUR TURNED AWAY.
TEN BABIES WERE LEFT TO DIE.

And the majority of the Church of Jesus Christ remained inside their homes, and other places as the killing continued on 3787 Main Street. We are not taking the Fall and Winter off because of weather, we will continue to be out on the streets and offer alternatives to moms that are lost and needy. It was not bad out today, it was rather pleasant. If you dress in layers you can stay warm. In the winter if you get cold you can go in your car and warm up as you pray. Please make an effort to come out. Change your schedule, change your work hours, do whatever you possibly can to be out here so you can save another baby's life. Great is your reward. The Lord tells us "whatever you do unto the least of these my brethren, you do into Me."

We took a photo of one of the babies that was saved here a while ago. His Gramma came to see us. He is precious. He is the reason we get up early and come out to the streets. He is the reason we plead with moms not to kill their children. As we start the book of Lamentations today in our OSA Bible Guide we see that when a people disobey God, it invites disaster. In America as we strayed from the word of God and Biblical living. Jeremiah's heart broke for his nation, just like our hearts break for ours.

"I have cried until the tears no longer come. My heart is broken, my spirit poured out as I see what has happened to my people. Little children and tiny babies are fainting and dying in the streets." LAM. 2:11

Jeremiah mourned for Jerusalem. Jerusalem, like America, defiled herself with immorality and with no thought of the punishment to follow. Jeremiah pleaded with the people to pour out their hearts to God and turn from their sin. Because of their rebellion to God they had brought great suffering to the innocent. Only when sin breaks our hearts can God come to our rescue. We need to cry out to God for forgiveness. We need to pray for our nation.

"Rise during the night and cry out. Pour out your hearts like water to the Lord. Lift up your hands to him in prayer. Plead for your children as they faint with hunger in the streets." LAM. 2:19

Please join us on the streets Tuesday and Friday mornings 7:30am- 9:30am. Spanish speaker greatly needed. We could also use post abortion counselors between 11am - 12 noon. We will train you. We are "the Church without walls." We reach out to the lost and needy who find themselves where they should not be. We will be there till the killing stops.

For the Least of These, Marilyn Carroll <///><

"Take no part in and have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of and enterprises of darkness, but instead let your lives be so in contrast as to expose and reprove and convict them. For it is a shame even to speak of or mention the things that such people practice in secret. " Ephesians 5:11,1
